https://majisemi.com/e/c/iij-20231017/M1D ■ Utilization of IoT data required in the manufacturing industry In the manufacturing industry, the utilization of IoT data will increase. plays an important role. By collecting data in real time from various sensors, devices, and production lines, it is possible to improve quality and optimize manufacturing processes. In addition, the use of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets for inventory management and quality control purposes, and the automation of material transport operations using AGVs (automated guided robots) and AMRs (autonomous transport robots) linked to various systems. Various efforts are being made to improve the efficiency of the entire factory. Supporting these advanced systems requires a secure IoT data infrastructure for data aggregation and a reliable data communication network. ■“IoT Secure Remote Management (SRM)” which provides a one-stop secure
infrastructure environment necessary for IoT data utilization IIJ is developing “Industrial IoT Secure Remote Management”, an IoT solution for the industrial field. We support the realization of smart factories by providing one-stop services ranging from PLC/CNC for factory equipment, gateway devices that collect data from various sensors, secure communication services, and cloud services for visualization and analysis. We will accelerate various initiatives undertaken by those in charge of factory equipment maintenance and production management, such as equipment operation monitoring, factory production management, on-site video monitoring, and the introduction of IoT measuring instruments, to improve production efficiency. . ■Difficulties in building a highly reliable network for IoT data collection and utilization In order to connect all the data in the factory, in addition to IoT-specific mobile communication to connect to the cloud, various A highly reliable network environment must be in place to aggregate data obtained from devices. However, unlike an office environment, building a factory network requires consideration of various factory-specific influences. First of all, there are many machines and equipment in operation in a factory, so especially when using wireless communication, it is necessary to be careful about electronic interference with high-power motors and control equipment. Also, metal or thick walls can block the wireless signal. As your factory expands or its layout changes, your network needs to be able to scale with it. Since real-time data processing is often required, communication delays may be a problem. To build a highly reliable network in a factory environment, first understand the intended use in advance, then consider equipment layout and future scalability, and then create a network that is optimized for the unique characteristics of the factory. It is necessary to prepare a network environment. ■Introducing “know-how for network installation work” in factories In this seminar, we will introduce “Industrial IoT Secure Remote Management” provided by IIJ, which provides a one-stop secure infrastructure environment. In the second half of the session, Netchart, which provides comprehensive construction services from LAN wiring work to Internet lines, will focus on factory network installation, and will discuss important points to keep in mind to ensure stable communication within the factory. We will use case studies to provide detailed explanations of specific know-how related to installation work, such as what procedures and flows should be used to proceed with the project. We will also introduce actual
construction examples regarding the construction of networks outside and beyond buildings, which is a frequently requested feature. (Click here for details and application)
