This is a video that allows you to see the charm of the event in 4 minutes.
[Video 5: https://prtimes.jp/api/movieim.php?url=www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iCZobu1Esc] Humming for PEACE(R) was launched in 2020, centered around Yukie Kakubari, a singer who composes and works on “songs without lyrics.” The team has grown to a total of 880 people, including Koichi Hagiwara, a former UN official who worked in Africa for 27 years, and Kotaro Takeda, a UN official in Kosovo. We became a general
incorporated association in 2022.
In 2020, an activity report was published on the website of the United Nations American Headquarters WSWA as “Japan’s most exciting event,” and it won the Peace Prize in the music category of the United Nations World Space Week JAPAN AWARD. In 2022, it was selected as a side event for the “Stockholm+50 Conference,” a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Environment Program held at the Swedish Museum of Ethnology in Stockholm, Sweden (co-sponsored by UNEP (United Nations Environment Program) and Globetree). Representative Yukie Kakubari was the only Japanese singer to perform locally.

“Humming for PEACE” has been held since 2020 in conjunction with “World Mental Health Day” on October 10th every year. Humming, which does not use words, allows you to communicate with people all over the world. The health benefits of humming are also attracting attention, as the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, one of the world’s largest research institutes, has announced research results. We have created a place where people from dozens of countries around the world can connect together through “humming” at the same time, with the aim of maintaining “mental and physical health” and spreading a sense of peace.
This will be our 4th time holding the event, and for the first time we will be holding a hybrid (real and online) event. The first real event will be held in Hiroshima, and the satellite venues will be held in Tokyo, Miyagi, and Iwate, and the event will be broadcast
simultaneously!
At the Tokyo satellite venue, a simultaneous event will be held, hosted by former martial artist Shugo Oyama and lecturer Yoshio Furuichi, with 100 participants and live broadcast of the main venue in Hiroshima.
At the Miyagi venue, a live painting event was held where children drew pictures of peace on the wall of the Shimomasuda Children’s Center before it was demolished, while listening to simultaneous humming around the world, and at the Hiroshima venue, the completed pictures were broadcast live. It’s a schedule.
It is starting to develop into a simultaneous festival where all of Japan celebrates “World Simultaneous Humming Day.”
Ayumi Ueda, leader of the a cappella world champion group Woman Of The World, will be visiting Japan from Hawaii as a special guest! From Hiroshima, we aim to send a message of peace to the world through humming, which says, “Humans can connect beyond language.”

We continue to receive messages of expectation from overseas.
[Video 6: https://prtimes.jp/api/movieim.php?url=www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzHbpH_hDiI] Comment from representative Yukie Kakubari
“I believe that humming can overcome the language barrier and connect people all over the world with their hearts. As proven data from around the world shows, it does not require money or medicine. , I want to strongly convey to the world that everyone can do something that can help us stay healthy.Last year, when I was invited overseas, even though I only speak Japanese, I was able to communicate with people all over the world not through words, but through my heart. , I had an experience that strongly felt the “possibility of humming.”
This event will be held mainly in Hiroshima. It is an important place for the Japanese people and is also the birthplace of my father. I want to send a message of peace from “Hiroshima” to the world through humming.”

Theme song “Humming for PEACE” sung at the same time around the world
[Video 8: https://prtimes.jp/api/movieim.php?url=www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANerCd3JQPI] The original theme song was co-composed by representative singer Yukie Kakubari and a cappella world champion group leader Ayumi Ueda, and was produced with the recording cooperation of 60 singers representing Hiroshima, “HIROSHIMA PEACE CHOIR,” who agree with the idea. A song made only of “humming” without lyrics.
