YOASOBI’s “Yoru ni Kakeru” has surpassed 1 billion cumulative streaming plays on the Billboard JAPAN chart, making it Japan’s first billion hit.

In 2020, after becoming a viral hit on TikTok and SNS, it topped Billboard JAPAN’s annual chart “HOT 100 of the Year 2020″. It became the first song to reach number 1 in a year without a single CD release.
On the streaming song chart, it debuted at number 91 on the chart released on March 18, 2020, and has topped the chart 15 times so far. The cumulative number of views exceeded 100 million in the 18th week on the chart, and in this week, the 183rd week on the chart, it exceeded 1 billion views for the first time in history.
A total of 14 YOASOBI songs have surpassed the 100 million play mark so far, and this record is tied with Official Hige Dandism for the most by any artist. Also, among the members’ solo songs, Ayase’s “Night Stroke Menou” and ikura (under the name Rira Ikuta) “Sparkle” have each exceeded 100 million views.
