We will be screening a documentary film that follows three schools that put children first, valuing each individual’s individuality. After the screening, we will hold a talk session with the director, in which he will talk about why he made this film and what he would like education to be like in Japan.
We welcome anyone interested, including those raising children, students who want to become teachers, and those who work or volunteer with children, to attend.

Cocleo Forest is an NPO that operates schools, provides childcare support, and creates learning spaces for adults.
We operate Minoh Kodomo no Mori Gakuen (Mino City, Osaka Prefecture), an alternative school (elementary and junior high school) that respects the individuality of each child and aims to foster citizens who live democratically. We will celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2023.
