AIPR Overview
Electrical designers, who carry out highly difficult and complex designs within a limited period of time, spend a large amount of man-hours and time designing electronic systems as electronic components such as semiconductors and ECUs become more sophisticated and integrated. . This issue is expected to become even more serious in the future, due in part to the issue of depletion of human resources. Zuken has been researching the application of AI technology to solve this problem, and as a result of this research, we will introduce a new solution in the design field that is expected to dramatically improve work efficiency.
“Autonomous Intelligent Place and Route” includes an automatic placement and routing function that utilizes a feature database trained by Zuken, as well as imitation wiring that recognizes similar patterns on the board and routes them all at once, and bus wiring to connectors and BGA. We will start selling general-purpose functions such as automatically generating bus termination wiring candidates, but we will gradually strengthen these functions in the future and develop it into a solution that can be applied flexibly to a wider range of design requirements. Ultimately, we plan to create a unique feature database by learning the user’s specific design requirements, and strategically switch between them to realize a flow that performs autonomous automatic placement and routing.
“Autonomous Intelligent Place and Route” achieves high-speed operation by incorporating an AI engine with proprietary technology jointly developed by Zuken’s technology departments in the UK and Japan into the CR-8000 series and directly linking with placement and routing commands on CAD. did.

Autonomous Intelligent Place and Route (AIPR)
“Autonomous Intelligent Place and Route” is a new automatic placement and routing platform that utilizes AI technology. It also includes the “Intelligent Place and Route” function, which is a design assist tool useful for high-speed signal circuit design in previous products. In combination with automatic design functions that utilize AI, you can expect more accurate designs and shorter design times.
Basic Brain
“Basic Brain” is an AI automatic placement and routing function that uses Zuken’s learned feature database.By combining Zuken’s accumulated board design knowledge and a newly developed AI engine, it is different from conventional automatic placement and routing. It is equipped with functions such as imitation wiring, which recognizes and routes similar patterns, and bus termination wiring candidate generation, which automatically generates bus wiring.
Dynamic Brain
“Dynamic Brain” is an AI automatic placement and routing function that utilizes a feature database trained on user design assets and new design data. By having AI learn the user’s design assets and new design data according to the characteristics of the design object, such as the application field, it can execute a design that takes into account the designer’s knowledge and preferences for each target field. This enables high-quality board design that is independent of the designer’s experience and skills.
Autonomous Brain
“Autonomous Brain” is an autonomous AI automatic placement and routing function that allows AI to strategically and autonomously select multiple feature databases for each target field, repeat the placement and routing design, and optimize the design. By using Dynamic Brain’s learning data, AI can perform automatic placement and routing that closely matches the thinking of the designer, achieving automatic board design that is as close to human design as possible.
