Yokyun, who serves as the official cosplayer for “Ragnarok Online,” has been recognized by the Guinness World Records (TM) as the “longest-serving official video game cosplayer (female).” Yokyun started working as an official RO cosplayer in March 2003, and has continued to appear in Ragnarok Online events, programs, and advertisements for over 20 years. To commemorate the recognition of his 20 years of success, an official Guinness World Records (TM) certificate presentation ceremony was held in Tokyo on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

At the certificate presentation ceremony, Yokyun appeared wearing the costume of the new occupation “Night Watch”, which is scheduled to be implemented in the game (*). After the screening of the profile video, she looked back on her career and spoke with deep emotion about how she struggled with cosplay because there weren’t many types of wigs back then, and even when they were available, they were extremely expensive. In addition, Guinness World Records (TM) official certifier Justin Patterson announced that he was not only the world’s number one, but also the first record holder, and when he was handed the certificate, he was all smiles.
