The Coca-Cola Education and Environment Foundation (Location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Yasuyuki Sasaki; hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) commends outstanding activities related to environmental conservation and environmental education, A total of 11 organizations have been selected to advance to the final selection for the 28th Coca-Cola Environmental Education Award (hereinafter referred to as the main award), which supports new research and planning that contributes to beautification.
The 28th Coca-Cola Environmental Education Award final selection nominated organizations: 11 organizations
I. “Activity Promotion Department”: 5 organizations

・ Toyama Municipal Kureha Elementary School (Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture) ・ Toyama Municipal Nishida Elementary School (Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture) ・NPO Kumejima Firefly Club Kumejima Firefly Ranger (Shimajiri-gun, Okinawa)
・ Uetakenaka Youth Volunteer Service Department (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture)
・Team Nagasaki Sea Clean-Let’s protect the sea where the world heritage Gunkanjima shines- (Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture) * For elementary and junior high school schools and groups where both elementary and junior high school students are active, the application category is determined based on the content of the activity applied for this time and the number of people who are the main body. ・Osaka Prefectural Sakai Technical High School part-time course (Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture)
In the morning of March 11 (Sat), the final selection will be made through presentations to determine this year’s award-winning organizations, and the winners will be announced in the afternoon of the same day. The announcement will be live-streamed on a special page on the foundation’s website
(https://www.cocacola-zaidan.jp/environment/env-prize/28th/). In addition, we plan to award either the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award or the Minister of the Environment Award to the winning organization. The final selection will determine which category the Minister’s Award will be awarded to. (In the activity dissemination category, the Minister’s Award will be presented to either elementary school or junior high school student group that won the highest award.)
Since its establishment in 1994, this award has provided assistance and support for volunteer activities that contribute to the local community with the aim of promoting environmental education and environmental conservation activities.
