Ambrose & Company Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Representative Director Nobuyuki Horiuchi) is scheduled to receive the JJA Jewelry Design Award 2023 Semi-Grand Prix Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award.
For Ambrose, this award may be the second major award of the year, following the 2nd prize of the HRD Design Award, the highest in Europe, in January this year.
This work “Another World” was created using Diffuser3D brand jewelry castable resin JC-01R, which Ambrose has developed, manufactured and sold in-house.

The 25th JJA Jewelry Design Award is Japan’s most prestigious jewelry competition, established in 1989 with the aim of promoting the development of Japanese jewelry and the talent of creators both domestically and internationally. The award ceremony will be held at Tokyo Big Sight on August 30th during JJF2023 (August 30th to September 1st), and the award-winning works will be exhibited at the venue.

Awards: 1992 JJA Jewelry Contest ’92 Crafts Category Honorable Mention Our CEO, Horiuchi, is not well known as a designer, but as the general producer of all the award-winning works of our successive JJA jewelry design awards and the 2nd prize of the 2023 HRD Design Award, he was involved in the design, selection of materials, production, and production. I have been involved in the production of award-winning works with designers and craftsmen in all processes. This time, based on my experience so far, I am fully prepared to design it myself, and I am planning to receive the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award, which is the semi-grand prix.
Production
A craftsman who was in charge of 3D data for past award-winning works and a developer of castable resin creates the data, casts using castable resin, polishes, assembles and finishes with veteran and young craftsmen working together. Stone setting by master metal engravers, the best collaboration of techniques handed down by a jewelry maker with 65 years of history and the latest digital techniques are reflected in the form, details, and finish of beautiful works.

Future prospects
Half a year has passed since the release of castable resin, and many people are using it. Our company, the developer, has applied for the most prestigious competition in Japan and is planning to win. . We are also planning to open a booth at JJF2023 (booth No. Q-25) to show everyone the production process, actual 3D models, and test castings. The development of the resin is still continuing, and we will continue to work on research and development so that we can present a wonderful work to everyone after completing a model of the same size directly cast in platinum. In the future, we plan to provide a wide range of business models that utilize 3D printers that only a long-established jewelry maker can do, from design and 3D data creation to modeling, casting, and finishing.
