On the 16th of next month in Shima City, Mie Prefecture, we will hold an overnight event where you can learn about “cutting-edge AI technology” from current engineers working at startup companies and take on the challenge of developing it. The venue will be Umirab, a renovated pearl farm. Over the course of two days, you will look out over the sea of Ago Bay, examine local issues, and acquire the latest technology.

Lecturer: Takumi Funasaka
The lecturer will be Takumi Funasaka, an active engineer working at a famous startup company.
After graduating from the University of Tsukuba, he was in charge of developing functions for an EC platform at a start-up company, and has knowledge of the use of AI technology. “If I can connect Tokyo’s cutting-edge knowledge to solving local issues,” he says, he works as a lecturer. Now you can.

At the event, we not only have time to learn technology, but also time for “fieldwork” to examine “issues in local cities.” Just as Umirabo Co., Ltd. is working to contribute to regional revitalization by restoring a decaying pearl farm in Shima City, young minds are working together to see if it is possible to solve regional issues using the power of AI.
