Additionally, as this service has been selected as part of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s “career advancement support project through reskilling,” up to 70% of the course fee will be returned to participants as cash back. ▶ Background of service provision The government has defined labor market reform as essential for sustainable economic growth and has established specific guidelines. In particular, in order to achieve structural wage increases, the government has set reskilling and facilitation of labor mobility as priority issues, and has announced that it will allocate a budget of 1 trillion yen over five years. Forward has been planning this project related to “reskilling” since its founding, and it was selected as a project by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry even though it was founded less than a year ago. In addition, with the spread of generative AI, it is expected that changes will occur, such as improved matching accuracy between job seekers who have acquired skills and job openings, and a decrease in the difficulty of acquiring skills based on the use of AI. Forward, which has been preparing to stay ahead of these changes in the times, has released a new service targeting people who want to learn new skills and advance their careers.
▶Service description “Skills Forward”, a new service provided by Forward, is a paid online school aimed at improving the market value of those seeking a job change. You can learn skills that are highly correlated with increase (excluding public qualification acquisition, programming, and English) in a physical manner. In online classes, AI technology is used to perform the work (practical role-play format) provided for each chapter and its evaluation. The main target is users with an annual income of 3 million yen to 6 million yen who are thinking of changing jobs in the near future, and we aim to have a cumulative total of over 1,000 participants by the end of 2024.
