[Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture] Announcement of Ukiha Whole Museum 10th Anniversary Lecture
Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture
……
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Ukiha Marugoto Museum, we will be holding a lecture by NHK Chief Director Masae Ichiki, who is known for directing NHK’s morning TV drama series “Okaeri Monet.” The Ukiha Whole Museum started in 2013 and has been excavating local treasures and disseminating information. This year, to commemorate our 10th anniversary, we will welcome Masae Ichiki, who is known as the chief director of works such as “Okaeri Monet,” to give a lecture. Although Welcome Back Monet was set in Tohoku, it also featured topics such as forest cooperatives and forest therapy, which are familiar to us as well.
I would like to hear from you what kind of perspective you use when creating dramas, and how you plan to disseminate information about the region.

What is Ukiha Whole Museum?
Based on the idea of an eco-museum, the Ukiha Whole Museum treats the entire Ukiha region as a museum and engages in activities to excavate local treasures, investigate them, and disseminate and exchange them.
Rather than exhibiting collections inside a building like traditional museums, ecomuseums preserve the natural lifestyle and environment of the place, and provide visitors with an “open-air museum” where they can come and learn. “Museum.” This is not just for tourists; it is an activity for residents themselves to rediscover the charm and value of their region, protect and nurture it, and revitalize the region.
