Hiromichi Fujimoto, representative director and CEO of Thinker Co., Ltd. (pronounced: Thinker, head office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, hereinafter referred to as “Thinker”), will be making a pitch for the event “Ecosystem Link by It’s Sta.” hosted by U-FINO on December 4th. I will be speaking at the session as a representative startup from Osaka that I would like to support. In September 2022, U-FINO will be established by the Kansai Economic Federation, the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Osaka Prefecture, and the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is the abbreviation of Umekita Future Innovation Organization (UMEKITA FUTURE INNOVATION ORGANIZATION), a general incorporated association established by the city and the Umekita Phase 2 area developer as a public-private partnership. On the day of the event, the session “Keep an eye out! Startup pitches in Osaka and Kansai” will introduce Thinker’s proximity sensor (*), which uses a unique sensing technique that combines infrared rays and AI, as well as promote collaboration between startups and operating companies. We also plan to talk about the effects and benefits of collaboration.

*About the proximity sensor TK-01
The “Proximity Sensor TK-01” uses unique high-speed, high-resolution sensing that combines infrared rays and AI to grasp the position and shape of objects, including blind spots, without contact. This makes it possible to handle mirror-surfaced and transparent materials, which were considered difficult for conventional industrial robots, and to pick up items on a case-by-case basis depending on the site
environment, dramatically expanding the possibilities of picking using robot hands. Masu.
