Unlike Japan, there are many people in Africa who are in trouble with water and sanitation.
In the rural Butambara district of the Republic of Uganda, where we support, 40% of the 140,000 residents do not have access to safe water. Children have to walk 1 to 2 hours each way to fetch water every day, and they are not able to go to school to receive an education.
Additionally, 50% of people do not have a toilet, making it difficult to flush stool or wash hands, which can increase the risk of infectious diseases transmitted by flies.
The reality is that people’s basic needs and rights, such as water and sanitation, are not guaranteed.

About us Confront World
We have been operating as an NPO for the past six years with the vision of “realizing a world without injustice.” Led mainly by members in their 20s, the members continue their activities while balancing their studies and work with passion. We don’t have experts on Africa, international cooperation, etc. Still, we believe that we can make a difference in society, even if just a little, and so far we have delivered safe water, toilets, soap, etc. to over 20,000 people around the world.
However, safe water and a sanitary environment are still insufficient. In addition, in order to achieve our goal of “realizing a world free of injustice,” we need to support the activities of local residents and Japanese people, and tackle problems as a whole. thinking about. [Image 5

Monthly partners can join from 500 yen per month.
500 yen a month is the equivalent of three bottles of juice or one cup of coffee at a cafe, but that money can be used to provide safe water, toilets, soap, etc. to people in Africa.
In addition, by making a donation and facing the world's water issues, you can learn about social issues, become interested in the world, and connect. For example, when Uganda and other African countries are participating in the World Cup or the Olympics, you may be able to pay attention and learn about the current state of the world from our daily activity reports.
The monthly partner system is designed to encourage local activities so that the local people of Africa can continue to develop, and to support the involvement of Japanese people in society.
The donations we receive will be used not only for water, toilets, and soap in Uganda, but also for local self-reliance activities such as school construction in Tanzania.
Let's face the world's water issues together.
It may seem that there is no particular problem with social issues such as water issues in Africa, even if we do not know about them or are not involved in them. However, this is a fact that is happening even at this very moment, and we live in a world where there are people who have trouble accessing water and toilets, regardless of where they live.
Facing these situations again and thinking about them on your own will broaden your perspective on the world, deepen your thinking, and give you an opportunity to try new things, creating a new you and a new world. It should also be a chance to meet you!
