“1day3000” HP https://go.onecompath.com/l/340821/2023-11-27/3g4bcpg Regarding the name change to “1day3000” and “1day3000 Social Walk” In an age where people live to 100 years, efforts are being made not only to improve the healthy life expectancy of individuals, but also to realize a sustainable society. Meanwhile, the walking app “aruku&” operated by our company has a mission of “continuing to add value to walking” and visualizes the social value of walking, such as the effect of reducing medical costs and improving health awareness. We are working on various initiatives to increase the value of walking, such as introducing a step count deviation value function using a unique algorithm.
“1day3000” is a free walking event launched by aruku&’s corporate service “aruku& for office” in April 2020 with the aim of resolving the lack of exercise and communication among teleworkers. Aim to achieve 3,000 steps every day during the event period, and compete for the number of days you have achieved the goal. The competition has been held nine times so far, with a total of 1,000 participating companies and over 80,000 participants.
As we approach the 10th milestone, we have reconsidered the mission of aruku& and 1day3000, and have changed the name of the event from the previous “1day3000 Walking Challenge” to “1day3000 Social Walk.” The subtitle has been changed to Social Walk, as it is positioned as an event that aims to increase the total amount of happiness not only for the participants but also for society. In addition to creating the habit of walking, we will also strengthen our efforts to create a positive cycle for society and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society, such as by promoting charity projects and litter picking.
About “1day3000 Social Walk”
This year’s theme is “Walking is good for society.” During the event period, we will continue to aim to achieve 3,000 steps a day, and we will also carry out various projects that will lead to social contribution. In the charity project, we will make donations to four organizations that are working on SDGs-related initiatives. Donations will be made based on support received through the crowdfunding campaign “CAMPFIRE”, donations determined based on the number of garbage posted on the garbage picking SNS “Pirika”, and donations determined based on the number of days that all participants achieve their step goal. The amount will be decided based on the total amount of donations.
In addition, this time, there will be a competition between companies to see how many days they have completed 3,000 steps on average, a competition between citizens by municipality where residents in each municipality will compete for the average number of days they have completed 3,000 steps, and if you are an aruku& user. We will have an individual competition that anyone can participate in. This event will be held as a “social walk” in which the more participants walk, the more they will contribute to society.

Comments from recipient organizations
・Reiko Sugawara, Donation Division, Nippon Foundation Public Interest Incorporated Foundation
Thank you for reaching out to the recipients of donations through “1day3000.” The sea supports the lives of Japanese people and sometimes gives them peace of mind, excitement, and inspiration. However, problems such as ecosystem changes due to rising seawater temperatures and marine plastic litter are becoming more serious. Furthermore, the current situation in Japan is that there is a growing shift away from the sea, especially among young people.
The Nippon Foundation promotes initiatives to encourage everyone to view ocean issues as their own, and to expand the circle of action to pass on the richness of our oceans to future generations. The Ocean and Japan Project Promotion Fund supports marine environment conservation activities such as measures against marine plastic litter, as well as marine experience events.
We would appreciate it if you could send us your warm feelings. ・Wakana Minowa, National Land Afforestation Promotion Organization, Public Interest Incorporated Association
Natural disasters caused by abnormal weather are occurring frequently around the world, and countermeasures against climate change are urgently needed.
Donations received through the “Green Fund” will be carefully used to support activities such as forest conservation, greening activities, and nurturing the next generation of leaders by NPOs and civic groups, and we will cherish the greenery around us. We aim to create a society where many people can feel healed through contact with greenery. With the help of citizens, we are working to sustain rich greenery and a safe lifestyle for many years to come, both domestically and internationally, including in disaster-stricken areas.
We would be happy if we could expand the circle of greenery together with everyone who participates in the “1day3000” charity event. – Naoto Kikuchi, Donation Officer, Social Change Business Department, Florence, a certified NPO
