Smart Aquarium Shizuoka (Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City: Matsuzakaya Shizuoka Store Main Building 7th Floor) will be holding a Christmas project unique to an aquarium, “Smart Aquarium Christmas 2023,” in conjunction with Christmas, which is a major winter event.

When we think of Christmas, we think of Santa, reindeer, Christmas trees, etc., but there are also creatures living in the natural world that are reminiscent of Christmas. This special exhibition features “Christmas creatures,” such as the “Shirobotia duck shrimp,” a Christmas-colored shrimp with white polka dots on a red background, and the Kongo puffer, which has reindeer-like horns extending from its head. Masu.

At the “Quiz Rally,” which children can also enjoy, simple quizzes are set up in aquariums of “Christmas creatures” displayed throughout the museum. Children who come up with the answers to all the quizzes will receive a “living ornament” handmade one by one by the aquarium staff. This ornament will be placed on the Christmas tree displayed in the “DISCOVERY” area of the building.
