The Wood Design Awards 2023 will be held on November 9th, with the top prizes being the “Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award,” “Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award,” “Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Award,” and “Minister of the Environment Award,” and the Osaka/Kansai Expo Special Award, “International Thirty-one top prizes were announced, including the Minister of State for Expositions Award, the Forestry Agency Director-General’s Award for excellence, and the Chairman of the Judging Committee Award for encouragement.
At SDGs Week EXPO 2023 “EcoPro 2023” (located at Tokyo Big Sight East Hall) to be held from December 6th to 8th (Wednesday to Friday), 238 “Wood Design Award” winning works of this year will be exhibited (East Hall 5) ) On December 6th (Wednesday), we will hold an “Award Ceremony” for the top prizes in the morning, and an “Award Commemoration Seminar” (East Hall 4) in the afternoon.
The Wood Design Award is an award system that recognizes and disseminates outstanding products and services that use wood to solve various social issues.
We received 355 entries for the Wood Design Award 2023, more than last year, and announced 238 winning entries on October 6th. Furthermore, on November 9th, the “Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award” and “Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award” were awarded to “works that bring about complex solutions to social issues through the use of wood and contribute to innovation and the creation of new industries”. , “Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Award” and “Minister of the Environment Award” (total of 4 items). 3 works will be awarded the Osaka/Kansai Expo Special Award (Minister in charge of International Expositions Award) to outstanding works that meet the criteria for activities, etc.; 9 works will be awarded the Forestry Agency Director General’s Award as the Excellence Award; We announced 15 items for the “Chairman’s Award” and 31 items for the top prize.
An “award-winning works exhibition” will be held in the “Forest and Tree SDGs Zone” of SDGs Week EXPO 2023 “EcoPro 2023” to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from December 6th to 8th (Wednesday to Friday). In addition, on the morning of December 6th (Wednesday), there will be an “award ceremony” for the top prizes on the “Special Stage” of “EcoPro 2023”, and in the afternoon, the top prize winners and judges will be on stage at the “Moving Future Stage”. We will hold an “Award Commemoration Seminar.”
