Background of support
Forest (hereinafter referred to as “Forest”), a specified non-profit organization, operates a business office that provides continued employment support (Type A and Type B) in Sapporo City, Hokkaido. Mainly people with mental disorders (schizophrenia, depression, manic depression, etc.), people with developmental disorders, physical disabilities, or people with incurable diseases work short hours in order to get regular employment. Masu.
Continuous employment support type A is a welfare service that allows people with disabilities who are worried or find it difficult to find employment at a regular company to work at a workplace with a certain level of support after signing an employment contract. Since you have an employment contract with the company, your working style is basically the same as regular employment, but the difference is that the working hours per day are relatively short. In addition, in Type B continued employment support, users receive employment training such as light work without having to sign an employment contract. Forest has a large number of users (hereinafter referred to as “members”) who have skills and qualifications related to web, design, video production, accounting, etc. This business alliance deepens the relationship in which our group has already outsourced some operations to Forest, and aims to accelerate general employment support for members with disabilities through a cooperative structure between the two companies.

Specific initiatives
Our group has been rolling out a sustainable program since spring of this year, with the aim of having forest members work directly at our group’s Sapporo office. Work is mainly outsourced to members of type A employment continuity support, and some members of type B are also involved.
Normally, continued employment support focuses on basic tasks, but Forest’s continued employment support facility is a unique facility with a concept that aims to improve IT and accounting skills. It is a highly rated employment continuity support facility, and Type A is always at full capacity. Many of Forest’s Type A members are former engineers and accountants, and some of them have taken up
qualification exams related to IT and accounting, and have passed the Social Insurance and Labor Consultant Examination and the Nissho Bookkeeping Examination Level 1. There are some people.
Our group outsources a variety of tasks to Forest members, including web, IT infrastructure, security, and video production. Through practical work experience, we aim to improve the skills of each member and support them in finding regular employment in the future. [Image 2
In September of this year, one Forest member started working for our group and is active in fields such as web, design, and IT
infrastructure. Achieving this type of regular employment will create new capacity for continuing employment support facilities and create opportunities to accept more people with disabilities. This is part of our sustainable efforts based on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Opening of our group’s Sapporo office and future prospects
In June of this year, our group opened a Sapporo office in the center of Sapporo city, near Odori Station with convenient transportation access. The presence of our office within the Forest office has made it possible for Forest members to avoid major changes in their work environment even after they have completed regular employment. This environment also plays an important role in supporting their career growth during the transition period.
It is not uncommon for people who have found regular employment to have difficulty adapting to their new workplace, and because they are unable to gain the understanding of their co-workers, they end up returning to employment support facilities. This collaborative effort between the Group and Forest is significant as it promotes smooth adjustment and continuation after regular employment, and helps maintain retention in regular employment through the close attention and support provided by Forest managers. is.
We hope that this innovative approach will have an impact not only on our group, but also on other companies and organizations, allowing us to play a part in broader social change. Through this initiative, we aim to lead to a future where more people can fully demonstrate their individual abilities and play an active role in a culture that values diversity.
