Rakuten Mobile receives 1st place overall in the 2023 Oricon Customer Satisfaction Survey “Mobile Carrier Ranking”

Rakuten Mobile, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Rakuten Mobile”) is a member of the “2023 Oricon Customer Satisfaction (R) Survey “Mobile Carrier Ranking”” by Oricon ME, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hisashi Koike). In the survey (hereinafter referred to as “this survey”), we were awarded 1st place in 8 out of 9 items and 1st place overall (Note 1). This is the second time that “Rakuten Mobile” has been awarded first place overall, following the 2021 survey (Note 2).

From June 2023, Rakuten Mobile will be offering the “Rakuten Strongest Plan,” which allows you to use high-speed data communication in communication areas with 4G population coverage of 99.9% (Note 3). This plan costs 980 yen (1,078 yen including tax) if the monthly data usage is 3 GB or less, 1,980 yen (2,178 yen including tax) if the monthly data usage is more than 3 GB and less than 20 GB, and there is no upper limit on data usage if it exceeds 20 GB. It is a tiered pricing plan that is available for 2,980 yen (3,278 yen including tax), and the plan fee automatically decreases for months you do not use it (Notes 4 and 5). Additionally, you can earn Rakuten Points by paying for plan fees, etc., and you can use the Rakuten Points you accumulate to pay for your plans.
In addition, we have improved the convenience of not only rate plans but also contract procedures, and from August 31, 2023, we have simplified the contract application procedure. As a result, service users of “Rakuten Bank,” “Rakuten Securities,” and “Rakuten Life” will be able to use any of the identity verification information they have already submitted to each service to verify their identity when applying for the “Rakuten Strongest Plan.” Now you can complete your application without having to take photos and upload identity verification documents (Notes 6 and 7).
Rakuten Mobile will continue to strive to improve communication quality and expand services so that more customers can use our service comfortably.
