From January 31, 2024 (Wednesday), the 12th performance of Gekidan Wolf Boy’s “Bankara School” will be performed at Patna Theater (Miyagino-ku Cultural Center, Sendai City). The main cast includes Manabu Yonemoto, who has recently become a hot topic for his appearances in taiga dramas and Hollywood productions, Nao Oikawa, who is active not only in special effects works, dramas, and theater, but also as a multi-talent, and Tamura, a talented actor from Furano Juku and Minotake Plan. The production will be directed by Yuya Okutsu, who runs the theater company.
[Synopsis] A night junior high school in the suburbs where people from various backgrounds gather. Some of them had survived the post-war chaos, some had the experience of refusing to go to school, and some had pasts they couldn’t tell anyone about. Regardless of their age or gender, the students become involved, albeit clumsily, and gradually deepen their bonds. However, at that time, a strange rumor spreads around the school… What on earth is that?

Born in Miyagi Prefecture. actor. While active in the film industry, he founded the Wolf Boy Theater Company in 2015. Since then, he has written and directed numerous plays as the director of a theater company. In 2023, the movies he starred in, “How to Shoot a Pistol Writer” and “Ambiguous Paradise”, were selected as the final ten for the Shindo Kaneto Award, and Ambiguous Paradise won the Gold Award. Furthermore, the film was nominated in the competition section of the 36th Tokyo International Film Festival and is currently attracting international attention. Other notable appearances include director Takahisa Zeze’s “To Those Who Were Not Protected” and “From Lageli with Love.”
