Cross-border learning and management innovation: Pioneering efforts to improve corporate value brought about by pro bono
Pro bono seminar for companies will be held on December 13th (Wednesday) ……
Service Grant, a certified NPO (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Iuma Saga), which has the most track record in Japan as the frontier of “pro bono” in Japan, has collaborated with a wide variety of companies. In recent years, pro bono work has become particularly important not only as a social contribution activity that leverages the skills and experience of employees, but also in a variety of contexts, including initiatives for SDGs, promotion of ESG management, human resource development through cross-border experience, and promotion of work style reform. Focusing on the growing interest in multifaceted possibilities and effects, we will hold an online event to share examples of three companies that are pioneering the development of corporate pro bono.
We will hear about the challenges and responses of pro bono
initiatives at actual companies from the perspectives of each of the speakers in the areas of [Human Resource Development/Human Resources], [Corporate Planning], and [Sustainability Planning].

About Certified NPO Service Grant
Service Grant, a certified NPO, started its activities in 2005 as the frontier of “pro bono” in Japan. Aiming to create a “society where everyone can take action in the face of social issues and work together while leveraging their differences and potential,” non-profit organizations are primarily engaged in “pro bono” work that utilizes the experience and skills of working adults. I have been working on coordinating project-type support aimed at resolving the issues we face. As of October 2023, the total number of service grant
registrants has exceeded 9,500, and the number of implemented projects has reached approximately 1,8000. Through these achievements, we are exploring the mechanisms of society in which diverse entities work together across boundaries.
