In order to promote the “Machida City Food Loss Reduction Promotion Plan” formulated in August 2023, the city has launched the food sharing service “TABETE” with the aim of reducing food loss generated from restaurants in the city. We have concluded a “cooperation agreement to reduce food loss in Machida City” with Ko Cooking Co., Ltd., which operates . We will cooperate with each other to implement initiatives aimed at reducing food loss and improving citizen awareness regarding food loss reduction.

About food sharing service “TABETE”
This is an app that matches users with foods that are still delicious and safe to eat at restaurants, but are at risk of becoming food waste. There are currently approximately 790,000 users and
approximately 2,700 registered stores nationwide. When users use “TABETE” to shop at a great deal, they support the store’s “sell-out” efforts, which leads to a reduction in food waste. [Image 2
