Kobe Portopia Hotel (Chuo-ku, Kobe City, General Manager Tsuyoshi Ito) will be hosting the SOCO Sweets Buffet “Kobe We will be holding “Strawberry Collection 2024 ~Italian Sweets Kingdom~”.
Continuing on from 2022 and 2023, the ever-popular strawberry sweets buffet was enjoyed by over 10,000 customers during the period. This time, we will focus on the food culture of Italy, which has a long land area from north to south and has unique characteristics unique to each region due to the different climate and features of each region. We offer gorgeous and beautiful Italian sweets by combining simple yet traditional and sophisticated Italian sweets with seasonal
strawberries.
In addition, the approximately four-month period will be divided into two periods, and the event will travel across Italy, which is rich in regional characteristics. Season 1, with the concept of “Northern Italy,” features the Italian pudding “Bone”, which has a chocolate flavor and a chewy texture, Turin’s famous “Zabaione”, and a traditional Milanese sweet that is said to be the origin of macarons. The lineup includes menu items related to major cities in Northern Italy, such as “Amaretti.” From mid-March, we will be offering sweets and savouries with ties to Naples and Sicily, the sunny cities facing the Mediterranean Sea, based on the concept of “Southern Italy.” Enjoy the world of Italian sweets as you travel from north to south, from trending sweets that have captivated the younger generation to the present day, to rare sweets that you have never encountered before and are loved by locals.

Traditional Italian sweets and specialty sweets wrapped in strawberries Sweets originating from Italy, such as “Zucotto”, a dome-shaped cake originating from Florence that originated from the hats worn by clergymen, and “Bone”, a hard chocolate-flavored pudding that is a Turin specialty, are now available in strawberry garb. Cute baked goods are also displayed throughout the store, such as the traditional Italian confectionery “Amaretti”, which is said to be the prototype of macarons, and the flower-shaped biscuit “Canestrelli”.

Please also pay attention to the chef’s special savouries, which are rich in Italian regional flavor. We vividly prepare traditional Italian dishes such as chicken salad in the style of the Gonzaga family, an aristocratic family that flourished during the Renaissance, and “Baccara Mantecato”, a winter specialty of Venice. You can also enjoy it like a bar by pairing it with cocktails and wine.
