We have started a demonstration experiment using web3/metaverse technology to bring out the appeal of the contents of Gamagori City’s “Sea of Life Science Museum”.
Through holding metaverse events supervised by science museums and art production events with the theme of marine litter and waste materials issues, we have started Japan’s first “DeSoc construction for learners starting from social education facilities” project. ……
DAOWORKS Co., Ltd. has formed the “Gamagori City Learner Digital Community Promotion Council” with Gamagori City, Aichi Prefecture, and the web3 activist community “SunnyDAO”. As part of the “Gamagori Fun to Learn Project (commonly known as GamaPro)”, we will conduct demonstration experiments such as events and community building using Metaverse and web3 technology.
We have commercialized our efforts toward “building DeSoc for learners starting from social education facilities” by leveraging our knowledge of web3/metaverse, which is our strength. Selected as the 2019 Aichi Prefecture Smart City Model Project.

(*1) web3: An Internet that is transparent, allows for identification and verification, and is realized using blockchain technology that is difficult to tamper with. It is a concept based on the spirit of self-sovereignty and autonomy.
(*2) DeSoc: Decentralized Society: A social vision in which people belonging to diverse communities utilize digital technology to create a trust economy and consider and decide matters openly and from the bottom up.

In the virtual space “Metaverse” supervised by the “Sea of Life Science Museum,” you can touch Inca whales, Cambrian fossils, and more anytime, anywhere. We will promote the contents of the science museum and create opportunities for communication between

Event date on the Metaverse
A workshop on ancient organisms will be held in the Metaverse space by curators from the Sea of Life Science Museum.
We will introduce fossils and take quizzes.

2. Demonstration experiment of the digital community of the Sea of Life Science Museum
We will conduct a demonstration experiment of a digital community of fans of the “Sea of Life Science Museum” using an SNS tool called Discord.
We will use digital rewards using blockchain to increase motivation to participate in events, and we will work together within the community to think about initiatives to increase interest and attachment to Gamagori City and the science museum in the future.

The Discord icon is “Anomaro-chan”, the mascot character of the “Sea of Life Science Museum”, which is based on the motif of Anomalocaris, which lived in the Cambrian period 520 million years ago. We will create art using ocean trash, cardboard scraps, etc. from around Gamagori City. In addition to creating an opportunity to think about the environmental issues of marine litter and the problem of waste materials, by creating art, we will reconsider each piece of garbage and sublimate it into a work of self-expression. The created works will be 360-degree scanned and digitized, and will be exhibited online at a later date.

Distribution of stamp rallies and event participation certificates using NFT A stamp rally will be held at the science museum where you can earn NFTs. NFTs will also be distributed as proof of participation in metaverse events and art production events. Those who own these NFTs will be given incentives within the digital community. We are considering making use of it in the future, such as by giving people the opportunity to vote on events.
