At the Seiko Waku Waku Festa, there will be a Seiko Waku Waku Watch School where you can learn about time and watches, a special lesson by top athletes, and a Seiko Waku Waku class where you can measure time using Seiko’s timekeeping equipment used in world championships and other events. We hold track and field and swimming sections of “Sports Classes”. We have prepared two types of courses: the “Land Course”, which combines a watch class and sports class track and field edition, and the “Water Course”, which combines a watch class and sports class swimming edition. The track and field class will be taught by Chisato Fukushima, the Japanese women’s 100m/200m record holder and Seiko Smile Ambassador, and the swimming class will be taught by Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Yui Ohashi, a member of TEAM SEIKO. A roundtable discussion between the two will also be held, and Aya Terakawa, the Japanese record holder for the 50m/100m backstroke, will be in charge of the MC.
You can enjoy both a watch class where you can learn about various types of time, and a sports class where you can learn about sports and time while having instructors from athletes who are active around the world and experiencing top-notch technology and equipment used in world championships.
