Uonuma Suppon Co., Ltd. farms softshell turtles in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, which is one of the areas with the heaviest snowfall in Japan.
We use hot springs that gush out from the business premises to raise the soft-shelled turtles, and by constantly injecting clear, clean hot spring water into the cultivation ponds, we have created a clean breeding environment. In addition, we mix plenty of sake lees provided by local sake breweries into the feed.
