We sincerely pray for the safety and health of everyone in each region during times of heavy rain, wind and flood damage, various disasters, various infectious diseases, war damage, etc.
Regarding the recent M7.6 earthquake near Mindanao Island in the Philippines (there are preliminary reports that it was M7.7), at present (at the time of writing this release at 12:10 a.m. on Dec. 3, 2023), the people in the affected areas are Although it is not possible to know the details of the situation, we are concerned that there may be large-scale disasters and damage in the Philippines, based on the urgent announcement of a tsunami advisory for a fairly wide area of Japan’s Pacific coast. My heart aches as I think of the fear and anxiety of the people in the disaster-affected areas, who were left in the dark, and the damage to their minds, bodies, and buildings.
In addition, in Japan, in a situation where tsunami damage and various other troubles are possible, we hope that even though it is
heartbreaking, damage will be prevented and as many lives as possible will be saved in Japan, the Philippines, and other parts of the country. I would like to offer my heartfelt sympathies and prayers for your recovery.
