boys who are smart but difficult and don't get along well in groups. I have a child who doesn't get along well in groups, is reluctant to go to school, or refuses to go to school, and when he takes a developmental test, it turns out that he has a high IQ, but I don't know how to deal with it. We are receiving an increasing number of inquiries from people who want to develop their talents, but are unmotivated or have trouble losing their temper. Therefore, I compiled what I learned from consulting with more than 250 mothers of gifted (2E) boys and teaching them how to interact with 90 children into a book.
Solitary genius is already old! Gone are the days when all you had to do was research. We have entered an era in which it is necessary to commercialize the content of research into a form that is useful to the world.
Of course, if we only think about developing talent, it might be a good idea to gather children with high IQ and educate them in special schools. However, after sending my gifted (2E) sons to a public school, I found that gifted boys who are interested in many things can be stimulated by spending time with their friends at school, which their parents cannot provide. This means that unexpected talents may bloom from that stimulation.
However, gifted (2E) boys may have many problems in areas other than intelligence and in their daily lives, such as not being able to acquire lifestyle habits, not following instructions, and having a poor sense of time. Talent can be difficult to understand.
Therefore, we have updated the booklet with a gifted check, which was released in February 2022 and read by over 900 people, to make it more specific. I hope that as many genius children and mothers raising genius children as possible will be able to recognize and develop their children's talents.

■What is developmental science communication?
Kayoko Yoshino, the organizer of the Developmental Science Lab, is based on the scientific evidence that she has compiled based on her 15 years of experience in developmental support as a clinical
developmental psychologist, as well as her knowledge of brain science, psychology, and education. It is also a communication method that promotes brain growth and development. It is a daily communication technique that helps you understand children’s characteristics and brings out the best in them. If you master developmental science communication, just by having a conversation with your child, you will reduce their troublesome behavior and improve their motivation and abilities.
