Seminar
Nice to meet you, I’m Mirai Sasahara, a developmental science communication trainer. I work as an expert on developmental bumps and working moms who improve the quality of time spent with children, eliminate the guilt of working, and accelerate brain development. This time, we will be holding a seminar to tell you how to spend the winter vacation overcoming the “walls of 4th grade” that stand in the way of working moms who are raising children in pre-adolescence. The “4th grade wall” is a barrier that prevents working mothers from continuing to work due to the social environment surrounding working mothers and the developmental unevenness of children’s challenges unique to the third and fourth years of elementary school. The 3rd and 4th grade of elementary school is also a time when children with developmental characteristics have an increasing number of abstract concepts that are difficult to understand, making it difficult for them to study. This is also a time when you will be able to see yourself objectively, so it is easy to notice the differences between you and your friends and feel inferior.
This is the time when your child is confused by the physical and mental changes that are typical of pre-adolescence, and if your child has trouble studying and feels anxious and inferior, and if your child is acting up at home or feeling low and depressed, you may need to provide study support and mental care. More mothers than ever are feeling this way. While you may be confused by the changes in your child, in this world, when your child reaches the third or fourth year of elementary school, it is assumed that he or she can participate in after-school activities with friends or stay home alone, so
after-school day care will no longer take care of your child, and you will no longer be able to secure a place for your child. .
Additionally, the childcare support provided by their workplaces, such as reduced working hours, is being discontinued, and more working mothers are considering leaving their jobs due to the gap between their position as working adults and the reality of being involved with their children as mothers.
Therefore, in order for working mothers to overcome the “wall of 4th grade” without leaving their jobs, we will tell you in this seminar about “how to spend winter vacation” that allows working mothers to reconsider their relationship with their children and develop their brains.
I would like many people to learn how to overcome the obstacles in fourth grade that my mother didn’t know about.

■What is developmental science communication?
Kayoko Yoshino, the organizer of the Developmental Science Lab, is based on the scientific evidence that she has compiled based on her 15 years of experience in developmental support as a clinical
developmental psychologist, as well as her knowledge of brain science, psychology, and education. It is also a communication method that promotes brain growth and development. It is a daily communication technique that helps you understand children’s characteristics and brings out the best in them. If you master developmental science communication, just by having a conversation with your child, you will reduce their troublesome behavior and improve their motivation and abilities.
