The history of corporate accounting began with the idea of “Let’s push forward to the improvement and development of our country’s accounting industry.”
When I was asked to contribute this time, I was told the opening line of the first issue by the Japanese accounting scholar Koichi Sato, “Let’s push forward to the improvement and development of our country’s accounting industry.”
Our representative, Mr. Sunada, values the mission of a certified public accountant, which is to contribute to the healthy development of the national economy as a whole.
Even though we have reached a turning point and the environment surrounding the accounting industry has changed significantly, I was able to reaffirm that the underlying purpose of “contributing to society as a profession” remains the same.
