Surprisingly, the loud voices of “Sennenya” reached the broadcasting booth of WOWWOW, which was doing live commentary in the broadcasting seats next to it.
The “scream” of “Sennenya” was even broadcast on other programs. According to an employee of TV Osaka’s technical department who was in charge of broadcasting technology at the time, there was a problem with the audio line to Japan before the race, and it was suddenly decided to send live audio over an international phone call, but microphones and headphones were not used. Since the driver was unable to use the telephone receiver, the live commentary was performed in a louder voice than usual, and coupled with the fact that the race was about to crown the “first Japanese world champion,” the final scene was full of screams.
