From December 4th (Monday) to December 10th (Sunday), Takatsuki City will use the digital signage installed on the 2nd floor concourse of Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station to promote the “Shogi Town Takatsuki” PR ambassador. We will develop visual content featuring Tsuyoshi Tsuruno to further spread awareness of the hometown tax-based crowdfunding project, “Kansai Shogi Hall Construction Project.”

On November 17, 2020, Takatsuki City commissioned Tsuyoshi Tsuruno, a singer, actor, and shogi enthusiast with ties to the city, to be the PR ambassador for “Shogi Town Takatsuki”. As a PR ambassador, I will further disseminate information about the “Kansai Shogi Hall Construction Project,” a hometown tax-based crowdfunding project that supports the relocation of the Kansai Shogi Hall, a sacred place for shogi, to Takatsuki City, and promote the nationwide promotion of “Takatsuki, the Town of Shogi.” We are engaged in activities. The use of digital signage this time is also part of PR activities, and a perspective image of Mr. Tsuruno, who wears a sash and is the “PR ambassador for Shogi Town Takatsuki”, and the New Kansai Shogi Hall, which is scheduled to be relocated to Takatsuki City, will be displayed. By using the digital signage at Hankyu Umeda Station, which is used by an average of 400,000 people a day, we will further spread awareness of the Kansai Shogi Center Construction Project not only in the vicinity of the city, but also in the Kansai region, and promote the “Shogi Town Takatsuki”. [What is the Kansai Shogi Hall construction project]
A hometown tax-based crowdfunding campaign conducted by Takatsuki City and the Japan Shogi Federation. The third period is currently underway. All donations collected, excluding site fees, will be used for the construction of the Kansai Shogi Hall. Those who cooperate will receive attractive souvenirs prepared by the Japan Shogi Federation, such as an original stage fan of Sota Fujii (7th Dan at the time) and a commemorative handwritten colored paper.
