A basic agreement regarding Kokusai Kogyo Energy Solutions Co., Ltd.’s installation of a small hydroelectric power generator using tap water at the “Second Pressure Reduction Tank” at the Soguchi Water Purification Plant management facility owned by the Kyoutou Regional Water Supply Corporation.
Characteristics of the Fruit Park Fujiya Hotel small hydroelectric power generation project
The electricity generated by the small hydroelectric power generators that will be installed this time will be sold to electric power companies using the FIT (Renewable Energy Feed-in Tariff Scheme), but the non-fossil value generated by the electricity generation will be fully bought back with certificates. The plan is to use it for carbon offset at the Kokusai Kogyo Group’s Fruit Park Fujiya Hotel, located in Yamanashi City.
This will make it possible to reduce CO2 emissions from the hotel by 186 tons (equivalent to approximately 16% of emissions in 2022). Fruit Park Fujiya Hotel will continue to work towards achieving carbon neutrality by utilizing clean energy generated locally.
