Watami Farm Bihoro Pass Ranch
Watami Farm Bihoro Toge Ranch, located in Bihoro Town, Abashiri District, Hokkaido, has a vast site of approximately 300 hectares with the theme of animal welfare and reducing environmental impact, and is an environment rich in nature where cows can graze freely. We operate one of Japan’s largest pasture-based dairy farms. Currently, we raise approximately 300 Holsteins and milk them for grass-fed milk, which is mainly fed with grass grown in-house. Watami Farm Bihoro Toge Ranch We are particular about the breeding environment and feed, and by matching it to the ecology of the cows, we aim to minimize stress on the cows and extend their healthy lifespans, thereby ensuring sound management. We are also taking on the challenge of expanding the circular dairy farming model, such as by returning cow manure to local agriculture.
