Living Robot Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Date City, Fukushima Prefecture, President and CEO: Yasuhiro Kawauchi, hereinafter referred to as Living Robot) is conducting joint research and development with Fujita Health University (Toyoake City, Aichi Prefecture, President: Yukio Yuzawa), “Mimamori Wego”. ” will be introduced at the Fujita Health University booth at “Aichi Robo Festival” to be held on Saturday, December 9th and Sunday, December 10th, 2023. “Aichi Robofest” is a sub-event of the “High School Students Robot System Integration Competition” held at Aichi Sky Expo (Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture). Although “Mimamori Wego” is small at approximately 13cm tall, it has smooth movements with a sense of life, and has various functions to support the daily lives of the elderly. This time, we will also introduce new functions aimed at rehabilitation and exercise promotion.

What is Aichi Robo Festival?
In Aichi Prefecture, the High School Student Robot System Integration competition is held for high school students from all over the country, with the aim of creating human resources for robot system integrators*1 (commonly known as robot SIers) who are responsible for automating manufacturing sites. “Competition” will be held from 2022. *1 A robot system integrator is an engineer who designs, constructs, and installs industrial robot systems to meet the needs of
manufacturing sites.
On Saturday, December 9th, 14 teams of high school students from within and outside the prefecture will compete to see how complete their robot systems are, using industrial robots used at manufacturing sites.
“Aichi Robo Festival” will be a side event held at the same time as this event, and will feature workshops where you can experience drone operation and programming, as well as exhibits of various robots. This is an event where everyone from children to adults can experience and enjoy various robots.

1. Functional introduction of “Mimamori Wego”
“Mimamori Wego”, a partner robot for elderly people’s daily life support, will introduce functions that are currently being jointly researched and developed with Fujita Health University for
commercialization next year, as well as functions aimed at
rehabilitation and exercise promotion that will be unveiled for the first time. To do.
2. “Arku Mechatro Wego” programming experience
You can experience programming the educational programming robot “ArkuMechatrowego”. Using Scratch*2, even beginners can easily learn programming while moving robots.
Last year, many children tried Wigo and enjoyed the programming experience. *2 An educational programming language jointly developed by the Scratch Foundation and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
