Background of the establishment of “ProLab”
In the field of development/engineering, so-called “commissioned development” projects based on conventional contract contracts or quasi-delegation contracts are common, but they require a large initial development investment. This major barrier to initial investment in development is not only an issue limited to ventures and startups, but also stands in the way of mid-sized companies and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Focusing on the barrier of initial investment in development, ProLab works with ambitious partners to develop web applications by providing a “revenue share” model in which engineers invest in development man-hours first, and then recover the investment cost from future sales and profits. Representative Director and CEO: Kentaro Tai
Graduated from Doshisha University Faculty of Economics. As a new graduate, he passed the national civil service exam and started working at a government agency. After that, he worked at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office, where he worked on planning for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and on the Board of Education. In addition, after experiencing a wide range of administrative work, such as being seconded to the Fukushima Prefectural Office to help with recovery efforts from the earthquake and planning projects and events, I moved to a different industry in the IT industry as a web engineer and joined Relic Co., Ltd. Joined the company. He has served as a development leader in SaaS development for a globally expanding crowdfunding/EC platform, infrastructure construction/API development for a moving matching service, and backend/infrastructure development for the iOS/Android app “Loupe.” After that, as a member of the newly established SRE department within the company, he was involved in standardizing and speeding up infrastructure construction, as well as developing and providing general-purpose subsystems, which he continues to do to this day. In November 2022, he was selected as a speaker at RubyWorldConference2022. He also develops products as an individual and continues to work on solving social issues through engineering on a daily basis.

Graduated from Nagoya University. While attending school, I
experienced launching an e-commerce site. After that, I was involved in launching an e-commerce site in a different genre, and grew the service by doing all the work, including site construction, data analysis, purchasing, and management work. After getting into programming through data analysis, he changed jobs as a web engineer and joined Relic Co., Ltd. Responsible for maintenance of in-house products, launch and design of medical information services, etc., and backend/infrastructure development leader. Currently, he is a member of the SRE department and is in charge of infrastructure construction and technical research. Individuals are also developing products and actively disseminating information. Those who passed the Information Processing Security Support Specialist Examination.
Director and CPO: Yuya Yamaguchi
After graduating from university, he joined a major system integrator that provides solutions for the manufacturing industry. As a founding member of the company’s product platform service, he is in charge of product technology. After that, he gained a variety of development experience, including leading joint development with a major manufacturing company and engaging in service growth and operation and maintenance. He has extensive knowledge not only in web systems but also in the IoT field using sensors and devices, and has a rich track record at various exhibitions and events such as CEATEC. In addition to working as an engineer, he was also involved in sales planning, and as a technical manager, led the development of new BI solution projects from launch to release. After joining Relic, he led many projects including requirement definition and development for verification using prototypes in new business development/new product development.
