Our hotel opened in December 2019 after renovating the sumo room “Konoe Stable”, which was established in 1976 by the 11th master Kokonoe. In April 2023, it became an official hotel of the Japan Sumo Association.
Through this “Sumo Mass Seat Set Plan,” we would like not only customers who are fans of Sumo, but also customers who have never seen Sumo to know about the Japanese culture of Sumo. In agreement with our policy of “inheriting and developing traditional culture as a Shinto ritual that boasts a history of 1,500 years,” we have introduced new experiments with the desire to spread the word to our customers. The mass seats provided in this plan are on the first floor with cushions placed on the carpet, and are traditional Japanese audience seats.
Up to 4 people per square can be reserved for private viewing by staying guests. Please enjoy to your heart’s content the powerful and passionate efforts of the sumo wrestlers, including the sounds of their clashing forces and the live voice of the wrestlers.
