Green Co-op Okayama (hereinafter referred to as Green Co-op) is a member of the Green Co-op Community General Incorporated Association (Headquarters: Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, Representative Director: Yoko Hidaka, hereinafter referred to as Green Co-op), which is comprised of 16 consumer co-ops mainly in western Japan. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of its establishment, Green Coop Okayama Co-op will be holding the “20th Anniversary Market – Change your future with one step today” on December 10th to let more people know about Green Co-op Okayama’s activities and products. Approximately 70 manufacturers and producers will gather at the venue, where you can sample Green Coop’s safe, secure, and delicious food. You can talk directly with manufacturers and producers, and have fun learning about the environment and food. Additionally, we are planning to open stores from companies that are doing environmentally friendly initiatives in Okayama Prefecture, such as local producers in Okayama and people connected through disaster relief activities.
Tastings on the day will be served using “reusable tableware” and “Edish, a recycling-oriented tableware” in an effort to be environmentally friendly and not generate waste. We ask all visitors to bring their own chopsticks if possible, and those who bring their own chopsticks will receive a small gift.
In addition, we are preparing projects that everyone from children to adults can enjoy, such as “eco-themed talk sessions,”
“rock-paper-scissors competition,” “vegetable intake check,” “bone health check,” and “stamp rally.” Masu.
Additionally, Greencorp is actively promoting the conversion of delivery trucks to electric vehicles in order to realize a
decarbonized society. At the venue, the “Hino Dutro Z EV”, which will be introduced to Green Coop Okayama for the first time, will be on display, and you will be able to actually test drive it.
In addition to being environmentally friendly, the Hino Dutro Z EV has been designed to reduce the burden on the driver, with a cargo bed that is lower than current models. This makes loading and unloading easy, even for women and elderly drivers.
We hope that not only Green Co-op members but also non-co-op members will come and learn about Green Co-op’s products and initiatives that are particular about safety, security, and the environment.

In 2018, Green Co-op Federation of Consumers’ Co-operative Unions, Social Welfare Corporation Green Co-op, Labor Co-operative Unions, etc., participated in Kyushu (Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Oita, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, Kagoshima), Kinki (Osaka, Hyogo, Shiga), and China. (Tottori, Okayama, Shimane, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi) and 16 consumer cooperatives and various organizations in Fukushima established the “Green Co-op Community General Incorporated Association.” We have been active as consumer cooperatives rooted in each region, sharing and solidarity with what we have like one Green Co-op. Starting from a mother’s desire to feed her children safe and secure food, we aim to enrich each community.
