Tokyo Tower 65th Anniversary Special Exhibition “Startup Pioneer Hisayoshi Maeda Exhibition”
~Message from Tokyo Tower founder Hisakichi Maeda~
……
Sankei Shimbun, Tokyo Tower, Mother Farm.
How many people are aware of the fact that all of these companies were founded by the same person?
Hisayoshi Maeda was born in 1891 in a wealthy farming village in Tengachaya, Minami-Osaka, and rose to prominence as an apprentice at a cooper shop.
After helping out at a relative’s newspaper store, he founded the Minami Osaka Shimbun, which later became the Sankei Shimbun, in 1923. His writings, which emphasized the entertainment and enjoyment of citizens, were well-received, and many expositions were planned. He was nicknamed the exposition man.
Afterwards, he founded media outlets such as Kansai Television and Radio Osaka, and served as a member of the House of Councilors for two terms in national politics.
Established Osaka Fudo Bank, which became one of the origins of Kansai Mirai Bank. Furthermore, it became the origin of Japan Airlines and Japan Air System.
Established Nitto Airlines, Osaka Electro-Communication University, a securities company, and a printing company, and engaged in a wide range of businesses including Tokyo Tower and Mother Farm.
I launched it.
He is truly what we call a “startup pioneer” in modern times. That is “Hisayoshi Maeda”.
This exhibition will explore the driving force behind Hisakichi Maeda, who launched one business after another and led them to success, through his messages and related materials.
You can follow the original video, chronology, etc.
In these times when we feel a sense of confinement, we hope that you will take in his positive, passionate, and loving message and use it as vitality for tomorrow.
