For more than 110 years, AGC has provided innovative materials and solutions in response to the ever-changing needs of society. We are working on development based on the vision that in the future, automobile glass will become multi-functional rather than just window glass, and we aim to create both economic and social value by realizing this.
[Comment from Hideyuki Kurata, our Chief Technology Officer (CTO)] Glass has a prime place in the next generation mobility industry. Since its founding, AGC Group has refined its core technologies such as material technology, functional design, and production technology. We aim to bring innovation to next-generation mobility through the advanced materials and solutions we will introduce at CES2024. Please come and experience it for yourself at our exhibition booth. The main materials and solutions scheduled to be exhibited are as follows. “Detection”
●Wideye
(https://www.agc-automotive.com/ja/products-and-solutions/glass-for-lidar-and-camera-wideye): Wideye is an automotive glass that transmits infrared rays and supports the wavelength range used for remote sensing using light such as LiDAR, and can be used as a cover for sensors for advanced driving support systems and autonomous driving systems.

The glass antenna has a design that does not harm the design of the vehicle and supports all 5G frequencies. By installing it on the indoor side of existing window glass, you can turn the window glass into an antenna. Halo.Car, a company based in Las Vegas, is developing an unmanned EV rental service using 5G, and by adopting this glass antenna, they have reduced 5G communication interruptions.

“Comfortability”
●Cover glass for car-mounted displays
(https://www.agc-automotive.com/ja/products-and-solutions/cover-glass-for-car-mounted-displays): We are the first company in the world to start selling cover glass for automotive displays. We have achieved “safety design,” “high visibility,” and “outstanding design” by leveraging our advanced processing technology, quality, and strength, as well as our strengths in coating technology such as anti-reflection coatings and
anti-fingerprint coatings. . This time, we plan to exhibit cover glass for large curved displays.
