Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City) will open from Sunday, December 10, 2023, and Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore (GINZA SIX 6F, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will open from December 27th, 2023 ( We will be holding a fair to commemorate the publication of Yosuke Omomo’s collection “ON THE CORNER” for about a month from Wednesday). We will exhibit and sell original drawings and posters centered on the works included in the collection released in September of this year, as well as goods such as postcards and tote bags.

A collection of works by Yosuke Oomo, who is active as an animation artist, picture book writer, and painter, “ON THE CORNER: Yosuke Oomo Works Collection” (Genkosha) was published in September 2023. This book is the first commercial collection of works by Yosuke Omomo, who is active across a wide range of genres and focuses on the appeal of “paintings.” Contains mainly representative works drawn over the past five years up to the exhibition “Walk around my town” held in September. This book is like a “best album” that gives you an overview of his past painting works.
Kyoto Tsutaya Bookstore will be exhibiting original drawings mainly from the works included in the collection for approximately one month from December 10, 2023 (Sunday) and Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore from December 27 (Wednesday), 2023. We will hold a publication
commemoration fair where we will exhibit and sell poster works, as well as various postcards, tote bags, and other goods. Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore will be holding the fair for the second time following last year’s event, which was very popular, and this will be the first time that Oomo’s original paintings will be exhibited in the Kansai region. Please take this opportunity to see works depicting the city and people’s lives from a warm perspective that will give you an opportunity to focus on the small joys of everyday life.

Yosuke Omomo
Born in 1985, from Chiba Prefecture. Graduated from the Department of Design, Tokyo University of the Arts, and completed graduate school at the same university. Works as an animation artist, picture book writer, and painter. His works include the picture books “Come to Our Town” (Shogakukan) and “Uncle Ham” (Tokuma Shoten).
