Cuervo y Sobrinos is the official timekeeper of the Iberian Historic Endurance (https://www.historicendurance.com), a series of races held at Europe’s most important circuits. At the heart of Iberia Historic Endurance is the concept of gentlemanly drivers who share a passion for competition but also share a joke after the race. Competitors race wheel-to-wheel in classic cars for podium glory in a friendly and relaxed environment where you can enjoy thrills and build lasting friendships.
At Cuervo y Sobrinos, the winners of each competition’s performance index receive a special personal watch. This index not only evaluates those who cross the finish line first, but also the best “performance” according to age, cylinder capacity and car type (Touring, GT, Sport) .

● “Cuervo y Sobrinos” history
~ Latin time that continued to sleep quietly ~
In 1882, Ramon y Cuervo opens a luxury watch and jewelry store called La Casa on Calle Quinta, one of Havana’s most prestigious shops. Soon, his brothers, including Armando Río Cuervo, began to help run the business, and the name was later changed to Cuervo y Sobrinos (CYS), meaning “Cuervo and his nephews,” and the business gradually expanded. . The watch is manufactured in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Succeeded in infusing the outstanding Swiss watchmaking technique with a Latin spirit.
In the 1940s, Cuba experienced an unprecedented economic boom due to expanding demand for sugar. At the same time, CYS reached its peak, and many shop watches were created that were ordered from top watch manufacturers.
Many of the famous people of the time, including writer Ernest Hemingway, actor Clark Gable, politician Winston Churchill, and physicist Albert Einstein, were on Cuervo y Sobrinos’ customer list. Its popularity can be seen from the fact that it is However, due to political instability such as the Cuban Revolution, CYS was forced to suspend operations.
CYS was “discovered” after a long slumber at the end of the 20th century, but the brand was revived in earnest in 2002 by former CEO Marzio Villa. Currently based in Renoirmont, Switzerland, taking cues from the watch movements passed down by the Cuervo family craftsmen, as well as the sketches and designs of the time, we have added our own unique touches to previous models, creating a new Havana style. This creates an elegant model.
