Special feature on summer and autumn tomatoes
……
On the 6th, the Japan Agricultural Newspaper Public Relations Bureau published a special edition of this paper, a special edition of summer and autumn harvested tomatoes. This time, for the first time, we asked 146 retail stores and wholesale companies to conduct a survey to find out which tomatoes are best-selling. Of the 51 people who responded, 60% chose “mini” as the best seller among large, medium, and mini (see Graph 1). Although cherry tomatoes have a shorter history of cultivation than large tomatoes, they seem to sell well because of their convenience, as they do not need to be cut and are easy to use in lunch boxes.
