Refeco Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Representative Director Takuo Yamamori), which operates Yume Solar in the Kyushu region, is a subsidiary of Ubiden Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato Ward, Tokyo, which operates the electric vehicle charging service “WeCharge”). (Representative Director Norio Yamaguchi) has entered into a strategic business alliance to expand the spread of renewable energy and electric vehicle charging equipment.

Refeco (Yume Solar), the No. 1 solar power generation company in Kyushu, and Ubiden, which handles “WeCharge” compatible with all BEVs and PHEVs, will officially start a business partnership using each other’s business resources.
Refeco will make full use of the networks it has accumulated (financial institutions, car dealers, real estate companies, etc.) and renewable energy-related know-how, and collaborate with Ubiden while grasping the self-consumption needs of local consumers. We aim to expand the use of electric vehicles.
■Purpose of the partnership
Refeco’s vision is to realize “tough local communities,” and we aim to build sustainable and self-reliant local communities where renewable energy circulates within the region. Through the spread of renewable energy and EV charging infrastructure through this partnership project, the introduction of electric vehicles will be promoted, making it possible to “storage” and “recycle” renewable energy produced within the region. This will lead to the realization of a “tough local community” where people can continue to live with peace of mind.
Refeco (Yume Solar) provides methods for reducing electricity costs through efficient use of electricity and the introduction of renewable energy equipment.
■About WeCharge
“WeCharge” is a charging service that supports all electric vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV).
If you have a smartphone, you can use the WeCharge app to complete everything from usage procedures to charging and payment. In addition, the biggest feature is that you can charge anywhere, not only in your apartment, but also in hotels, commercial facilities, and other places where WeCharge is available, just like using your own electrical outlet at home.
