Although Ukrainian wine is still not well known to the general public in Japan, it is beginning to attract attention among wine lovers in Europe. Unique grapes grown in various areas of the vast country. This wine is then brewed using traditional techniques and the latest methods to produce attractive wines.
Until now, consumption had been mainly in Ukraine, but sales in the country plummeted during the war. Family-run craft wineries in particular are in dire straits, with days of distress in critical situations, and there is hope for peace.
Anna Vashina decided to import Ukrainian wine to help everyone. Anna Co., Ltd. (5-25-17 Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) was established in July 2023 and began selling online in December 2023. At the same time, we will sell to restaurants and liquor stores.

The key point in wine making is the material. In other words, it is the result of the grapes. Ukraine is blessed with vast land and climatic conditions, and a variety of Ukrainian varieties have been cultivated and wine has been produced since ancient times. Many craft wineries produce attractive wines backed by their unique climate and traditions, as well as making full use of the latest manufacturing methods and techniques. With its sophisticated taste and complex elements, it is beginning to attract wine lovers.
Until now, Ukrainian wine has been mainly consumed domestically, but in recent years it has expanded its sales channels overseas. However, due to the military invasion starting in 2022, wine producers are also facing various hardships. Although many winery locations were still spared from the war, domestic consumption itself decreased. Producers are increasingly seeking to sell overseas.

CEO Anna Vasina has lived in Japan for 18 years and is active as a professional dancer and model. After that, I turned to the restaurant industry, and recently gained experience in import operations at a trading company.
That’s when the military invasion of Ukraine occurred. Around the same time, I rediscovered the charm of Ukrainian wine, and found new hopes and dreams, the courage to move forward to the future, and the happiness of working with my favorite wine.
We immediately started finding producers in Ukraine using SNS. We communicated well and signed contracts with producers who we truly trust and who share Anna’s dreams. None of the wineries are very large, but they produce their own unique wines with all their heart. We will introduce wineries recommended by CEO Anna and with whom we share our dreams.
