Fauchon Hotel Kyoto, Japan’s first gourmet hotel by Fauchon, a gastronomic brand originating from Paris (Location: Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, General Manager: Nobuhisa Sugimura), will open the Fauchon Hotel Kyoto Meets starting January 9, 2024 (Tuesday). With the theme of “Amaou,” the entire hotel will begin offering a limited-time menu using the brand strawberry “Amaou” from Fukuoka Prefecture. The restaurant “Grand Café Fauchon” offers an Amaou dessert buffet at lunchtime, and the tea salon “Salon de Thé Fauchon” offers an afternoon tea set that uses plenty of Amaou and an Amaou French toast that is limited to 10 servings a day. In addition, “Le Bar Fauchon” will also be offering sweet cocktails and mocktails for a limited time. In addition, we also offer accommodation plans that offer the best of both worlds.

Amaou is a brand of strawberries from Fukuoka Prefecture that is named after the initials of “red,” “round,” “big,” and “delicious.” In winter 2024, gourmet hotel Fauchon Hotel Kyoto will take over the Amaou, which is characterized by its large, beautiful red color, firm sweetness, and juiciness.
At the hotel’s top floor restaurant, Grand Café Fauchon, a sweet dessert buffet is held at lunchtime. At the tea salon “Salon de Thé Fauchon” on the second floor, we will be serving a cute afternoon tea filled with all the sweetness, and we will also be serving Amaou French Toast, which is limited to 10 meals a day. Le Bar Fauchon, with its chic atmosphere, offers a Kyoto nighttime experience with special cocktails and mocktails made with Amaou. In addition, we offer a limited-time Amaou accommodation plan called “Strawberry Stay Plan” where you can enjoy all of these Amaou menus, and we propose a hotel stay where you can fully enjoy seasonal Amaou.
