NOT A HOTEL Co., Ltd. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Shinji Hamauzu, hereinafter referred to as “NOT A HOTEL”) has started selling NOT A HOTEL ISHIGAKI “EARTH” from Friday, December 8th. . The architectural design was by world-renowned architect Sou Fujimoto, and the only circular villa will be built on a vast site of approximately 3,000 tsubo along the coast of Ishigaki Island, Okinawa Prefecture. This is NOT A HOTEL’s largest project in history, with each building costing approximately 4.2 billion yen (tax included) and a total area of approximately 1,500 square meters (including indoor area terrace pool). The opening is scheduled for June 2025.

EARTH is an architecture that loosely connects to the earth, where the boundaries between inside and outside are blurred. A one-of-a-kind tropical resort will be born on a vast site along the coast, where you can enjoy the ocean view and private garden to your heart’s content. When viewed from above, the building blends in with the greenery, and when viewed from the sea side, the building height is about the same as the surrounding trees, giving it an appearance that blends in with the nature of Ishigaki Island. In addition to the living/dining room and pool overlooking the ocean, there are four separate bedrooms that can accommodate up to 10 people. In the garden, there is a kids pool where children can play freely, a fire place where you can make a bonfire, and a sauna on the 1st floor that is flooded with light from a skylight. Gather with family and friends to enjoy the quiet beach, enjoy BBQ in the garden, have dinner in the living room, and then go to your respective rooms. Even if you stay in a large group, each person can turn on and off and have a relaxing time.

The emerald green sea, one of the charms of Ishigaki Island, stretches out in front of you. You can view it from the living/dining room, or you can climb onto the towering courtyard and line up the chairs for a panoramic view.

・A bedroom where you can have a deep sleep in a comfortable space There are four bedrooms in the house. In the master bedroom, the bed is placed facing the sea. The sofa next to the window is designed to be one step lower than the bed, allowing you to enjoy the view from a different perspective. It creates a space that is not only spacious, but also comfortable.

・“Undersea sauna” with shimmering light
Sauna space located on the 1st floor. The design is such that the light that shines into the water basin next to the pool on the second floor falls through the skylight in the sauna room, creating a unique atmosphere that makes you feel like you are inside a submersible. The chairs and walls in the room also have rounded and humorous shapes. In this space, you can experience a one-of-a-kind bond that you can’t experience anywhere else. Two showers and a cold bath are located immediately after exiting the sauna room.

The glass-walled bathroom also has a shower. By making the bathtub as low as possible, it connects flatly to the water basin and then to the sea.

・A peaceful study room with no unnecessary hindrances
The study space next to the master bedroom is your own space where you can immerse yourself in work. While watching the waves swaying and the greenery swaying in the wind, I thought about it. Use it as a starting point for creating a good rhythm, whether for reading or work. In addition, please enjoy the special moment that can only be experienced in this room as it is illuminated by the setting sun as it sets on the horizon, filling it with orange-yellow light.

The courtyard is shaped like a mortar, and when you stand inside, you can only see the sky and the sea. The greenery that surrounds the courtyard blends into the surrounding environment when viewed from directly above, and there are no boundaries. We have a kids pool where children can play freely and a fire place where you can make a bonfire.
