Make SDGs more familiar and more fun! “Out of KidZania in Nobeoka 2023” will be held where you can experience the work of 27 local companies

Out of KidZania in Nobeoka Executive Committee (Executive Committee Chairman: Yasuhiro Tomoi) and Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture (Mayor: Yoji Yomitanyama, hereinafter referred to as Nobeoka City) are planning and operating KidZania, a vocational and social experience facility for children. Under the supervision of KCJ GROUP Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Michinari Marutani, hereinafter referred to as KCJ GROUP), “Out of KidZania” is a program that pursues a more realistic experience outside of KidZania. “Out of KidZania in Nobeoka 2023” (hereinafter referred to as this event) will be held on Saturday, February 3rd and Sunday, February 4th, 2024, as the Nobeoka City version of “Out of KidZania in Nobeoka 2023” (hereinafter referred to as this event) for elementary and junior high school students. In conjunction with this, we will begin accepting reservations for various programs on a dedicated website from December 17th (Sunday).
This event, the third in Miyazaki Prefecture, is held by Nobeoka City with the aim of promoting SDGs initiatives and realizing sustainable town development.

In this event, in addition to jobs that children are familiar with such as “firefighter,” “aquarium keeper,” “station employee,” and “bus guide,” we will also be working on jobs such as “sheet metal craftsmen” who bend metal to make objects, and work on wood. You can experience jobs related to manufacturing, such as “paint company technicians” who apply paint, and “manufacturing staff” who weld with a laser based on drawings created on a computer. Also appearing for the first time this time are a “dentist” who treats cavities and removes tartar, a “heavy equipment operator” who learns techniques by practicing the operation of heavy machinery essential for construction, and a “heavy equipment operator” who learns about the pressure points of the body and helps patients. You can experience a total of 27 types of programs, including searching for an
“acupuncturist”. Furthermore, after the work experience, we plan to receive a salary in the special currency “Nobeka”, which can be used at designated shops. In addition, an experiential event will be held at Nobeoka City Hall, next to the main venue, where children can learn about SDGs up close and have fun.
Out of KidZania in Nobeoka Executive Committee, Nobeoka City, and KCJ GROUP are promoting “local love” through career education and intergenerational exchange by having children, who will be the leaders of our future, experience work at local companies. We hope that they will develop their “zest for life” and deepen their knowledge and understanding of the SDGs.
