SEGA Co., Ltd. will hold an event on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the SEGA SAMMY Group Headquarters (Shinagawa, Tokyo) regarding the competitive action puzzle game “Puyo Puyo” series, which is a Japan eSports Pro License certified title. We have released the internet distribution information for Sega’s official professional tournament “Puyo Puyo Grand Prix 2024 1st”.

“Puyo Puyo Grand Prix” is a new Sega official professional tournament with regulations changed from “Puyo Puyo Championship”.
This tournament is a prize money tournament for professional players who hold e-sports professional licenses for the “Puyo Puyo” series. A total of 32 participating players were divided into 8 groups, and a league match was held for each group, with the first place player from each group advancing to the finals. A double-elimination tournament will be held among all 8 players who made it through the preliminary rounds to determine the winner. The winning player will receive a prize of 1 million yen.
This tournament will feature Yurika Tachibana as the MC, and ALF and momoken as live commentators.
