The Osaka tournament of the Marty Pre Ballet Competition, which supports the next step up, will be held on Saturday, February 3rd and Sunday, February 4th, 2024. The Marty Pre Ballet Competition will be judged by heavyweights in the ballet world with many achievements. This year’s Marty Pre-Ballet Competition will be judged by four people: Kaneyoshi Okada, Kayo Nagata, Kyoko Tomimura, and Tsune Yamamoto. The dancers will be judged based on their deep knowledge of ballet and their own experience. Studied under Shizuko Muneta, Kingdom Takami, Takahiro Harada, and Shuhisa Natsuyama at Souda Ballet School.
In 2003, she appeared in “Romeo and Juliet” as a soloist with the Asami Maki Ballet Company.
In 2004, she appeared in “Pink Floyd Ballet” choreographed by Laurent Petit at the same ballet company.
2005: Held independent performance “BE REAL”.
Moved to the United States in 2005. Active in ballet and modern dance mainly in the eastern region, and danced all over Mexico.
After returning to Japan, he has directed and choreographed mainly in the Kansai region, and has been active on various stages.
In 2010, she established “Kashiwara City Ballet” in Kashiwara City, Osaka Prefecture, and has been working with the aim of teaching the next generation and further developing ballet in the future. [Main awards]

[Kayo Nagata]
Former New National Theater Ballet Company Principal
Studied under Mieko Wakui at Wakui Ballet School from the age of 10. In 1994, studied abroad at the Bolshoi Ballet School in Moscow, Russia. Marina instructs Leonova. (Current principal) Graduated at the top of his class in 1997. In the same year, he joined the Russian National Ballet. He has also participated in overseas performances such as Germany, Mexico, and Chile. Returned to Japan in 1999 and joined the Tetsuya Kumakawa Ballet Company as a founding member. As the first soloist, she served as Tetsuya Kumakawa’s partner and danced the black swan in the premiere of Swan Lake. (Prince, Tetsuya Kumakawa, Shiratori, Viviana Durante) 2009 Transferred to the New National Theater Ballet Company as a soloist. Promoted to principal in 2013.
In 2017, she starred in the Tokyo Citizen Ballet Festival “La. Bayadere” (Nikiya) sponsored by the Japan Ballet Association. Retired from the ballet company in 2017. [Main appearances]

Y.S.BALLET COMPANY
Started ballet at Megumi Yamamoto Sanai Ballet School from a young age. Trained at The Arts Educational School.
After that, she received instruction from Makio Homura in a special class at Tomoi Homura Ballet School.
Graduated from Osaka University of Arts, Department of Performing Arts, Dance Course Studied ballet under Mitsuru Horiuchi and Taeko Kaneshige, and modern under Kiyoko Kato. While attending school, he was selected to appear in a TV commercial advertising the university. Upon graduation, she received the Department of Performing Arts Laboratory Award.
After graduating, she moved to the United States and starred in numerous classical and contemporary productions at Minnesota Ballet and State Street Ballet. She has also performed major parts in works by George Balanchine and Twyla Tharp.
She also works as a guest dancer and lecturer.
After returning from the United States, he became a member of Y.S.BALLET COMPANY, and played Romeo in the premiere of “Romeo & Juliet” directed and choreographed by Hideo Fukagawa, as well as being the lead actor and soloist in various performances by the Kansai branch of the Japan Ballet Association (public corporation). In recent years, he has received acclaim as a judge for competitions and as a choreographer for his original works performed with jazz bands, as well as revised productions and choreographies for numerous classical ballets.
