The Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award will be established in order to foster momentum for “Atotsugi Koshien,” a pitch event where successors of small and medium-sized enterprises present new business ideas that utilize existing management resources. In addition, the five final judges for the 4th competition have also been decided.

1. overview
The Small and Medium Enterprise Agency will hold Atotsugi Koshien, a pitch event where successors compete to come up with new business ideas that make use of existing management resources, as it did last year.
We have recently established the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award to promote this challenge nationwide to the successors of small and medium-sized enterprises, who are the leaders of local economies and the next generation. The Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award is given to the most outstanding person, and the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency Director’s Award is given to the most outstanding person.
2. Entry qualifications/how to enter
〇Entry qualifications
・Successors of small and medium-sized enterprises under the age of 39 (Limited to those who are 39 years old or younger and born after April 1984 and who are expected to succeed before they have representative authority, including non-relative succession)
This also includes cases in which the person serves as the
representative of a corporation separate from the family business (however, the applicant must either plan to inherit the family business in the future or utilize the management resources of the family business).
